You will visit the Dambulla cave temple, which is considered to be the largest painted cave in the world (with more than 22,000 square metres of painted surfaces). Once in Dambulla, you will take a tour of the town. Dambulla is a town in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is located 148 km north-east of Colombo and 72 km north of Kandy. The famous rock temples of Dambulla have a mixture of religious and secular paintings and sculptures. Covering an area of approximately 2100m², this is the largest temple complex in the country. The famous Dambulla frescoes on the walls and ceiling date from the 15th to 18th century.
