Day 1

Arrival in Kenya - Welcome to Nairobi!

Welcome to Kenya! After your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to our hotel. We will be staying in Nairobi at the 5* Serena Hotel, a luxurious oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Kenyan capital, which beautifully combines African elegance with modern comforts. Depending on the participants' arrival time, we will meet in the hotel lobby in the evening for a welcome cocktail.

Day 2

Muthaiga Golf Club and Welcome Dinner

We start the day with our first round of golf in Kenya at the famous Muthaiga Golf Club, one of the oldest golf clubs in Kenya. The foundation stone was laid in 1913 by the British settlers. Numerous trees and flowering shrubs give the challenging course a beautiful layout. The fast greens add to the excitement. Muthaiga Golf Club alternates with Karen Golf Club to host the Magical Kenya Open and is one of the top golf courses in Kenya.

After golf, we return to the hotel before enjoying the welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 3

Karen Golf & Country Club, Sun Downer in den Ngong Bergen

We'll play our second round of golf in Kenya at the Karen Golf & Country Club, a course built in 1937 on the former plantation of the famous Danish writer Karen Blixen. Here, the images of "Out of Africa" ​​and golf converge. Large old trees, beautiful planting, the historic clubhouse, and many details evoke memories of the past. The excellent condition of the course, modern club life, and the excellent food and beverages ensure that the Karen Golf and Country Club is considered the top golf course in Kenya.

After golf and time for lunch, we'll visit the nearby Karen Blixen Museum and later enjoy a sundowner in the Ngong Mountains.

Day 4

Nairobi City Experience

  • Today's program begins with a visit to Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife haven just outside the city, where you can observe lions, giraffes, rhinos, and more against the backdrop of Nairobi's skyline.
  • On a guided city tour of Nairobi, we explore key landmarks and gain insights into the city's vibrant culture and history.
  • After lunch, we discover Kenya's rich heritage with a visit to the Nairobi National Museum and the Kenya Railway Museum. You'll be amazed at what there is to discover!

Day 5

Sigona Golf Club and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, we depart for Sigona Golf Club, also one of Kenya's finest golf courses, nestled amidst rolling hills and lush tea plantations just outside Nairobi. Enjoy a peaceful morning round on this beautifully maintained 18-hole course, known for its cool climate, elevated greens, and picturesque surroundings. After golf and time for lunch, we begin the approximately 3-hour drive to Lake Nakuru and descend into the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. Enjoy sweeping views of escarpment and rural landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, we check into the Sarova Woodlands Hotel and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Nakuru Golf Club and Game Drive

Another round of golf awaits us in the morning! We'll play at Nakuru Golf Club, one of Kenya's oldest and most picturesque golf courses, nestled in the lush natural surroundings of the Rift Valley. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Menengai Crater and just minutes from Lake Nakuru National Park, this 18-hole course offers golf enthusiasts a tranquil and rewarding experience with gently rolling fairways, mature trees, and a diverse range of birdlife. After golf, we'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and check into the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Enjoy your first game drive in the park at sunset and, with a little luck, spot thousands of flamingos and numerous other animals. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

We'll leave your golf equipment and any luggage not needed for the next few days of safari at the Sarova Woodlands Hotel in Nakuru. It will be delivered directly to the Serena Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, where we will pick it up again.

Day 7

Lake Nakuru, boat trip and game drive

The morning begins with a boat trip and a special breakfast on Lake Nakuru. The lake is famous for its numerous waterfowl and is strictly protected. The flamingos are particularly spectacular in the morning light. Anyone who has seen the film "Out of Africa" ​​will certainly remember the famous scene in which Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep) and Denys Finch Hatton (Robert Redford) fly over Lake Nakuru in a yellow biplane and thousands of pink flamingos take off from the water in slow motion. We will explore this lake today not by plane, but by boat, and hopefully, the flamingos will be there in large numbers. In addition to the famous flamingos, pelican colonies and numerous other birds can be observed up close. Hippos, white rhinos, and buffalo are just a few of the many animals that can be seen on the shore and are happy to pose for photos. The atmosphere at the lake is breathtaking, especially in the early morning. After returning to the lodge in the late morning, there's time to relax before we set off on a guided game drive through the national park in the afternoon.

Day 8

Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Game Drive

Today we leave the lake and the Great Rift Valley and head for the famous Masai Mara. The scenic drive takes approximately five to six hours (including breaks) and offers insights into Kenya's breathtaking landscapes and culture along the way. After arriving at the hotel, we enjoy a delicious lunch, check into our rooms, and have time to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. In the afternoon, we set off on a game drive through the savannah of the Masai Mara to spot lions, giraffes, elephants, and other fascinating wildlife. After returning to camp at dusk, we enjoy dinner and the magnificent starry sky of the African night.

Day 9

Experience the Masai Mara, Game Drives

In both the morning and afternoon, we'll roam the Masai Mara with our experienced guides in Land Cruisers. The area is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including large populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, herds of elephants and buffalo, birds, and much more. Keep your camera ready and enjoy the breathtaking views of free-roaming elephants, giraffes, lions, and numerous other animals.

Between the two drives through the savannah, we'll return to our luxurious camp and enjoy lunch and the amenities of the hotel. Upon returning from the afternoon safari, we'll enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 10

An unforgettable experience awaits you on your last day in the Masai Mara: float over the vast savannah at sunrise in a hot air balloon (additional charge applies). Before dawn, we depart from the camp to the hot air balloon launch site and experience the magic of the African wilderness at dawn. The breathtaking sunrise, the majestic ascent of the balloon, and the silent glide over the savannah will remain in your memory forever. The flight lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on weather conditions. After a gentle landing, an exclusive bush breakfast awaits you, prepared for you in the heart of the Masai Mara. Toast this unique adventure with your pilot over a glass of sparkling wine. Afterwards, a game drive returns you to camp.

For those who don't want to fly in the balloon, you can take another game drive with a guide in a Land Cruiser or relax at the hotel.

After lunch and a break, we embark on a fascinating nature walk with an experienced Maasai as our guide. We'll learn more about the native flora and fauna, the traditional use of plants, and the deep connection the Maasai people have with the land they have inhabited for generations. This hike offers you the opportunity to experience the natural environment and history of the region up close, as well as gain unique insights into the Mara's ecosystem. (Duration approx. 2.5 hours)

This interesting and exciting day concludes with a bush dinner, an exceptional gourmet meal freshly prepared for us by top local chefs. Day 11

Fly to Mombasa

After a hearty breakfast, we will be picked up and escorted to the airstrip in the Masai Mara. Airstrips are simple but functional landing strips located in the heart of the wilderness. The flight to Mombasa takes approximately 2.5 hours. We will be picked up in Mombasa and driven to our hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure, for example, to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach in front of our hotel on the Indian Ocean.

Day 12

Nyali Golf Club

Golf is back in Kenya – Nyali Golf Club awaits! This 18-hole course, nestled in the exclusive suburb of Nyali, stretches across 150 hectares, once part of a sisal estate where fibers were processed for rope and twine. The course's original design was by golf architect Tom Simpson, and the club was founded in 1926. Players are faced with narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and challenging water hazards. The proximity to the Indian Ocean ensures a pleasant breeze and spectacular views. After the game, return to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the white sandy beach.

Day 13

City tour of Mombasa with guide, including lunch

Today we immerse ourselves in the vibrant heart of Mombasa. We take an exciting city tour through Mombasa and explore the fascinating history and winding streets of the old town. The imposing 16th-century Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as witnesses to Portuguese colonial history are further highlights of our tour through the famous port city. Of course, there will also be time for a stroll through the winding streets, colorful markets, and numerous spice shops. We enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical Swahili restaurant, where you will discover the diverse flavors of Swahili cuisine before returning to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon on the soft, sun-drenched sands of Mombasa Beach.

Vipingo Ridge Golf Course

We'll play our final round of golf on the excellent Vipingo Ridge Golf Club. Perched on a ridge overlooking the Indian Ocean, this world-class 18-hole championship course offers immaculate fairways, stunning coastal views, and a tranquil atmosphere amidst native flora and fauna. The course's design blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, offering both a challenging game and a visually captivating experience.

To conclude the day and this magnificent journey through Kenya, we'll enjoy a stylish farewell dinner.

Departure or individual extension - End of the Golf Safari Kenya

Today, it's time to say goodbye to new friends and to Kenya, a fascinating country and its warm-hearted people.

Guests extending their stay on the beautiful Diani Beach will be transferred to their next hotel. A personalized extension at the Serena Beach Resort & Spa is also an option. For those departing today, we have arranged personalized transfers to the airport. A late check-out at the Serena Beach Resort & Spa is optional.
