In the last decade, Slovenia has played host to eight official EGA European Amateur Championships, which is proof that its golf courses are of good quality and challenging. Its greatest assets are its location in the immediate vicinity of the famous lake resort town of Bled and stunning views of the surrounding Alpine peaks. The course was first mentioned in 1937, when the first round of golf took place. Only a year later the course was equipped with 18 holes, which are renowned to this day.
